The Bucks Thames Valley LEP, bringing business and the public sector together

Our voice of Buckinghamshire Business this week is:
Arif Hussain, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic Development at Wycombe District Council and the Vice Chairman of Buckinghamshire Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership.

The Bucks Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership (known as the LEP) is here to bring business and the public sector together to tackle barriers that prevent economic growth.

Don’t get me wrong, Bucks has a lot going for it – it has the highest employment growth of any LEP area and is home to world class businesses, Silverstone, Pinewood, Instron, GE Healthcare, Oxford Instruments to mention but a few. The challenge is how to keep on improving, helping our businesses grow, bring new businesses into the area and support local people so they are ready to take advantage of the new jobs that will come from this growth.
