    Being part of Team Bucks

Our voice of Buckinghamshire Business this week is:
Councillor Isobel Darby the new Leader of Chiltern District Council and member of the BTVLEP board.

I have been made very welcome by the LEP as a new member. I truly believe in team effort and collaborative working and I see the partnership between local authorities and business as an important one. The saying 'the whole is greater than the sum of the parts' is my mantra, and as such my priorities for the coming year will be to enhance communication and engagement within the council with our members and officers and externally with our partner councils, other agencies and the business community.  By working together we can achieve so much more.

    Tinker, Tailor, Soldier............ Apprentice

Our voice of Buckinghamshire Business this week is:
Tony Inga, who has worked for Business Link MKOB and Semta, the sector skills council for engineering and manufacturing.

As parents we all worry about our children and that includes what the future holds for them. Young people today face so many challenges and it is the responsibility of all of us to support them in any way that we can.

One of the ways in which businesses can support them is through apprenticeships, by playing a part in developing new apprenticeships to meet their business requirements and increasing the availability of apprenticeships by putting them at the heart of their businesses.
